Telling us about changes in your circumstances

You must tell NILGOSC:          

• if you change your name
• if you change your address
• if your marital or partnership status changes, i.e. if you have married, divorced, formed a civil partnership or dissolved a civil partnership, or if you have become widowed
• if you are single with a cohabiting partner who you would like to nominate to receive a pension in the event of your death

  (you may only nominate a cohabiting partner if you were an active member of the Scheme on or after 1 April 2009)

• if you want to make an expression of wish in respect of any death grant payable
• if you want to change an expression of wish you previously made in respect of any death grant payable

To tell us of any change in your name, address or marital or partnership status, please print, complete and return form LGS24 - Pension Record Maintenance. You can download this by clicking here.

To nominate a cohabiting partner, there are certain conditions both you and your partner will need to meet.  If you meet the conditions, you and your partner must complete and sign the form and return to NILGOSC. You may only nominate a cohabiting partner if you were an active member of the Scheme on or after 1 April 2009.
